somatic work has brought me through an era of transcendence as I say hello to being alive again

"Embarking on a journey of embodiment and self discovery can be daunting and vulnerable. Working with new concepts that deepen and expand our own understanding of our very essence can be a terrifying endeavor, commonly found only after much hesitation. At least that is how my own journey in somatic work had begun. Through the gentle and poised guidance from Kelsey, I have been able to tap into parts of my inner child, feeling her shine through for the first time, beautiful and expressive in ways that only manifested in the confines of memories. With Kelsey as my trusted partner, somatic work has brought me through an era of transcendence as I say hello to being alive again and reconnect my past and current selves through exploration, play, and unlimited curiosity. I found a lessened amount of inflammation and a stronger sense of breath control. I find that anxiety is more manageable and the sun shines against my skin differently. I feel I am a more integrated, grounded, and mindful human being because of my work with Kelsey. I have even been able to bring home many practices to teach my own children how to better connect and communicate with their own bodies. This is a gift that continues long after sessions end. 

Because of the intimate and vulnerable nature of this work, I believe that Somatic practice is nourished by the love and passion of its teacher. Kelsey is very much that light who pours her heart and soul into this work. I don’t feel my own journey would be the same without her knowledge, openness, and desire to bask in this way of life with others whom she deeply cares for.
